I never in a million years thought I would be excited to have a fireplace in California. My dad burns wood to heat the entire house back home. But I have to say the fireplace is probably one of my favorite things about my new place. It takes cozy to a whole new level.

I have been on a DIY kick since I moved into my new apartment. I take such pride in creating something special instead of running out to the store. Pinterest has been the best source of inspiration. I don't like numbers. However, I like patterns in numbers. Like for instance, today is 11.11.11. And I happened to move into my apartment on 1.1.11. Even more fun, my parking spot is 111. I am loving it. I'll be sure to make a wish at 11:11 as well. Here are a couple snapshots from my new apartment. I found this lamp on ebay. I'm so in love with it. Kind of reminds me of this shade, no? And snapshot 21 is a rug I am working on. It's all coming along so well I can't wait to have everyone over!

Happy Monday! I'm getting settled into my new place and absolutely in love with all the space I have now. Walk-in closets. Entry-way closets. Linen closets. Big love.

I've been listening to a lot of Raphael Saadiq while unpacking. Check out his video for Movin Down the Line. 

I am also loving this image. Gram is a big advocate of the 'red dress'. She heard on Tyra that wearing red will get a lot of attention from the opposite sex. I'm not so sure I need that but I sure would love to twirl in this one.

SNAPSHOT: MOVING

I just moved into a new place! I am so in love with it. Lots of painting, hunting for furniture and downright organizing my stuff into my (much larger) new spot. While I was between places I was taken in by my friends and I got to spend an entire week with this pup. He is one of the coolest dogs I know and who could complain about this view over Venice Beach.
